Our week of sickness and low health has come to a close at last, and with its end, I leave you with these final thoughts.
Our week of sickness and low health has come to a close at last, and with its end, I leave you with these final thoughts.
First, an announcement: We're going to be doing remakes of some of our Xierra099 pictures! Well, remake is a strong word, think of it being an alternate version. Xierra's still in business, she's such a dear I can't bear to part with her. And besides, the artist for these alternate versions, Krizeii, doesn't often show his face, and only does so for brief intervals before vanishing for a long school year. So the lion's share of work will still be done by Xierra, so don't think she's going anywhere.
Now for an important message on future content. As implied earlier, we've successfully acquired the picture we needed for our first major event. What this is is we'll be doing a month themed around a specific show, and how what it did reflects the climate of the country it originated in.
For this special, we'll be talking about Doraemon, using key moments starring the lovable Shizuka Minamoto (Sue if you're American). She's been doing this since the 1970's, so you can be sure we're gonna get some moments to compare with the rest of Japan.
The schedule is as follows: -Monday will talk about the original 1970's manga. -Tuesday will talk about the 1979 anime that lasted all through the 80's and 90's. -Wednesday will talk about early episodes of the 2005 anime. -Thursday will discuss the downfall of the series in terms of acceptable content. It is here we will present the special No Girls Allowed! picture edit. -And Friday we'll wrap things up to talk about the state of loli in Japan today.
I'll try and supplement this with some Shizuka fanart, but, well, I make no guarantees, stuff like this is hard to find. Once our little show is over, we'll be taking a temporary break for Saturday and Sunday, so know there won't be any entries that day, since it breaks up the switching of Cartoon and Anime examples.
I hope you find it entertaining! See you tomorrow!
