So, you might be wondering what I've been up to these last few days. Mainly school, life, watching the world burn...

And recently, I learned of the existence of the series Naked Education, by Channel 4. It mostly seems to be about teaching body positivity to middle-school aged children, which might be a healthy goal (in the classical sense of body postitivity)... if it wasn't about exposing oneself to children in a major way. Having seen the series, it's basically education via flashing, and there's something purile about it.

And it's all uncensored, to boot. Even to the kids.

As if that wasn't disgusting enough, the UN has recently decided to attempt to decriminalize sexual acts towards minors. Adolescence is defined by the UN as ages 10-19, and they recently passed a bill that makes things much more grey, not to mention the sheer number of actual pedophiles they've had on their board. This is the same group, as it turns out, that tried to ban anime for having "pedophilic" content, hiding the skeletons in their closets.

In fact, a recent US Senator who works for the American Right has tried to do much of the same. While I can't tell if the pattern will remain true, it does kind of disturb me that people care more about the protections of drawn children than any actual children. We've had similar debates about violent video games, trying to keep them out of the hands of adults.

There is a word for this. Thoughtcrime. Thought up by George Orwell. As the central tenet of the antagonists of one of his books. Specifically 1984.

So where do I fit into all this?

Well, I'm worried about the impact I'm having. Part of me believes that this kind of subject could be getting the wrong impression; it's why I stopped sharing examples of fanart on this blog; it's attracting the wrong audience, at least, I'm worried it is. I was never trying to be a haven for pedophiles, and yet, that's what I'm worried I'm attracting.

Now, normally, I wouldn't mind nor shame anyone. It's better than going after real children, and as I've said before, people will find anything and everything attractive. However, the people in power hold the opinion that thoughtcrime by proxy should be punished, and I have a feeling they'd rather punish me than punish the offending party. So while I'd like to continue, I worry that I'm doing more harm than good.

Nevertheless, I will definitely keep doing what I've been doing as long as it's feasible. I just wanted to let you know that updates might be a bit slower due to the drought of content. Even boys seem to be censored by these new series, making me wonder if the standards are changing more than I thought.

I hope to see you soon.
